Calamoideae:
The Calamoideae are a subfamily of the family Arecaceae containing 21 genera and about 620 species which are distributed world wide.[1]
Classification[edit]
The Calamoideae are divided into three tribes:[2]
- Tribe Calameae (Rattan)
- Subtribe Calaminae
- Subtribe Korthalsiinae
- Subtribe Metroxylinae
- Subtribe Pigafettinae
- Subtribe Plectocomiinae
- Subtribe Salaccinae
- Tribe Eugeissoneae
- Tribe Lepidocaryeae
- Subtribe Ancistrophyllinae
- Subtribe Mauritiinae
